Sometimes USPS will ship packages just a bit cheaper if you select Parcel Post.

Well, how would you like to pay more for Parcel Post and get slower shipping in the U.S. than you pay for Priority Mail.

It only took me three times over a month's time to catch it. They surcharge you $3.00 if your package is over 34" long. Of course sides are usually that long and packaging, well, it's just over the mark. You get the surcharge! Kinda like winning the lottery in reverse. The pickpocket behind the counter never told me either!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, brain fart!

Let's just say UPS is getting my shipping money once again. All the post office had to do was say, "Sir, you could ship cheaper and faster with Priority Mail by avoiding this surcharge." Button Pushers. You gotta take care of the customer, even if you work for the government.

Now a different shipping problem. A double set order into Ontario sent Airmail Post into Canada hasn't arrived. It was shipped on January 13 early in the day. It hasn't been seen since.

Talking on the phone today with USPS they sent an inquiry to Canadian Customs with this comment, "They have sixty days to respond". Ouch. Poor guy. I'm glad it's not a regular parcel post shipment.

Dr. Phil could probably have an entire show and help us luthiers with our hangups.

I have never had a problem when purchasing out of the states. It may take a while by ground, but it never seems to get lost. Oh, and I always have to pay the duty, even if it's American Made, that realy frosts my butt.

That's the spirit. I love the entrepreneurial initiative. Makes me want to order a whole cord!
